What is Catte?

Playing Catte, also called “Sát Tê” in Vietnam and locally is a mind-blowing card game where people play often. To a player the game is heavily reliant on card quality, and correctly predicting these cards based on both skill level of the opponent as well as going second to 100% win every time.

To be victorious in Catte, you need to be quick-witted and more of reaction-oriented. Also, you need some good card dropping luck to do well in the game. This makes Catte a great strategic game, also quite popular with people who love to play mind games on their opponents.

How Many Cards in Catte?

Although the number of cards that players use in Catte may vary by region or country, and Southern Vietnam uses 6 per person. Every player is dealt with 6 cards and they then play through the first four rounds having only two left for the final one.

The order of play is decided by the suit as well, but that becomes less consequential in practice. In Catte, your main rule is to follow suit of the round. E.g., if you played a Heart card, the other person must play another Heart card (one with a higher digit). The suit value is mainly how they determine the dealer (whichever player has scored the highest with a lower number from 1–4), if it must be necessary to use other factors, such as team hardship.

How many Players — Dealing The best number of players for Catte is 4–6. In this case, it can accompany up to 9 players as each player needs only 6 cards and still the total does not exceed over limit of 52. Each player gets 6 cards from the dealer, and then plays begins (the winner of a game starts dealing in the next one).

Round Hetero tùng The third and last round, is that “chưng” 4 players or up to 2-3? The 4th round, the player who achieved tùng will reveal their cards first and all others are hidden. Exceptions in Catte

In playing Catte it is a standard game according to the above but with one exception. A “bum” is anything above tùng achieved in play all 4 rounds. This could be 3 suits or alternatively, 4 suits as well depending on the number of rounds. This amplifies the earnings by multiple folds (which is also sometimes promoted and supported by house to increase), for ex: doubling your initial bet of $100. However, this bum must be an agreed-upon “bum” by players before the game can begin.
